This Is How I Roll

After eating lunch today at a German restaurant, Willow Tree Cafe, we went on a walk with Rocco in his stroller (too bad I didn't have my camera on me!). Rocco was wearing this appropriate outfit for the occasion!

Spa Day

After Rocco's bath, we both put on our robes and cuddled on the sofa. I had a glass of wine, Rocco had a bottle of milk ;)

Afternoon Nap Smiles

He's always in a such a good mood after a quick nap. Don't dare skip his nap or else you'll have a crank-a-saurus on your hands until bedtime.

Mommy's Little Boy

He will always be my little boy, but he's not so little anymore! Tonight Scott and I finally went through his closet and packed away all of his 3 month clothes which, I'm not going to lie, made me tear up a little.

Big Boy Stroller

Rocco went on his first stroller ride today sitting up instead of laying down in the bassinet attachment. I think he likes it!

Seriously, I am obsessed with his cute little chubby legs. Being a baby is the one time in your life where fat rolls in your thighs is the best thing ever.

The Best Pillow in the House

Rocco was being particularly cranky, but once he was laying on his favorite pillow - daddy's arms - he was down for a nice long nap.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I have a pot of gold in my diaper - it needs to be changed ;)

On St. Patrick's Day we spent some time with Rocco's Grandparents (Glick) and Great Grandmother. In the evening we hung out with our good friends Carrie, Matt, Meredith, and Cory. Unfortunately there are no photos of that, maybe next time!

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!

5 months old!

Rocco has been so much fun this past month doing lots of new things!
- He learned that he can reach for things (besides just what hangs above him on his playmat).
- He now prefers to suck on his hands instead of a pacifier and has weaned himself off of them.
- He started blowing spit bubbles, which is cuter than it sounds.
- He learned how to get himself back to sleep on his own (sometimes).
- He moved out of the pack n' play in our room and into his crib in his nursery.
- He no longer hates tummy time! In fact, he's now rather good at it

His 5 month birthday landed on St. Patty's Day, so Rocco got in the spirit ;)

Bath Time!

Before heading out to Jacksonville for the weekend to visit Rocco's Grandparents and Great Grandmother, he needed a quick bath. Obviously this was a perfect opportunity to take some photos since we were in a rush to get out the door ;)

Rocco loves taking baths. It's a great cure for any night time fussiness. Just add water and soap:

Swinging Fun

In the mornings, Rocco is happy to just hang out in his swing in our room while Scott and I get ready for work.

Exersaucer Success!

It seems he must have just been in a bad mood the day before, because today he was perfectly happy being in his exersaucer.

Exersaucer Exhaustion

After about an hour of painstaking assembly, Scott and I were exhausted, but excited to put Rocco in his exersaucer for the very first time. All of our hard work was rewarded with this:

 *Sigh* Hopefully he'll grow to like it.

He's either plotting a milk bank robbery or is expressing his thoughts on having his photo taken every day - you decide. ;-)

Found My Fingers

Rocco has recently decided he prefers sucking on any available fingers, his or someone else's, to his pacifiers. I'm not sure if this is a good development or not.

Can't Take My Eyes Off of You

For once I wanted to be in the photo and not behind the camera. Scott took about 25 photos that all look like this - Rocco insistently looking up at his Mommy. Love that little boy.

Morning Playtime

Rocco loves to play in the sheets in the morning. Wearing a diaper of course - I don't want an accident on my bed! I think it looks like he's wearing a toga in the first photo, but it's been brought to my attention that it could also look a little boudoir-ish. So maybe I should change the caption for today to be "I'm sexy and I know it. I work out."   Haha!

Casey generally wants nothing to do with Rocco. He almost never lays down within Rocco's reach. He very quickly learned that baby hands do not pet gently and tend to make very erratic movements. So imagine my surprise when I took this photo.

Big Boy Bumbo Seat

Bedtime Buddies

Rocco's bedtime buddy is his Glowing Seahorse. He doesn't like to go to sleep without him. Thank you Joanne and Javier!

Cranky in the Carseat

Some babies just love their carseat. Some babies just need to be put in their carseat and driven once around the block to get them to fall asleep. Rocco is not one of those babies. He hates the thing. This is generally his expression whenever he is strapped into his carseat, waiting for us by the door to the garage, while we grab a few last minute things before heading out.

Laughter

As I promised back on Valentine's Day, if I got Rocco to 'laugh' on videotape I would upload it. So here you go - be prepared to smile!
