Pooja came to visit us and brought gifts - Rocco got this bubble gun and he was obsessed! It took a couple of tries, but he finally figured out how to squeeze the trigger fast enough to get the bubbles to come out. After that, there was no stopping him. Well, until he accidentally kicked over the bubble fluid that is. Luckily we have back up, but we didn't tell him that because we wanted him to go back inside the house as it was getting dark.

The Central Florida Zoo
Scott's sister, Christine, has a friend who offered to get us all into the zoo for free for the day. We were more than happy to take her up on it! Here's a couple of photos from our trip.

Florida Museum of Natural History
On our last day in Gainesville we loaded up the kids and took them to the Florida Museum of Natural History. It was a terribly rainy day so this free activity was perfect. Definitely check it out if you are in town with kids - they even have a little play area that was a big hit.

Go Gators!
After the fun birthday party, we took a trip down memory lane by driving around UF's campus. This was all rather impromptu so none of us were dressed for the occasion, but nonetheless we stopped to take photos anyways. Rocco of course wanted nothing to do with posing for the camera, so we had to resort to bribery. We only had a blue lollipop, thus he has blue lips in all the photos. Oh well, we'll be better prepared next time!
Pools and Petting Zoos
Due to the aforementioned 4th of July catastrophe, we rescheduled our trip to Gainesville for this weekend. Misty's neighbors threw a farm themed birthday party for their two year old son that ended up being rescheduled for that same weekend, due to being rained out on their original party date the weekend before. The last minute change of their party date led to them extending the invitation for Misty's family to also include our family. The party was held at their community pool and they even brought in a petting zoo! The kids loved seeing all the animals: a piglet, a bunny, a guinea pig, a donkey, a lamb, a goat, and some ducks and chickens. This was way more impressive than Rocco's second birthday party, that is for sure!

Gianna's Newborn Photoshoot
Now that the birth announcement have (finally!) gone out - it's safe to post some of my favorite photos from Gianna's newborn photoshoot. It's funny to see them because she looks like such a little peanut compared to now, just a couple of months later.
