Lifegaurd Rocco

Rocco spent Labor Day hard at work as a lifeguard at New Smyrna Beach. He'd be great at his job if it didn't require going into the ocean - he flat out refused to do that!

Beach Day

While we have not gone to the beach a whole lot this summer, I have brought my camera every single time. And every single time I did not take a single photo - until this weekend. And of course Rocco would not look into the camera for a single one of them! At least not today anyways.  At least he wore his cute hat.

Birthday Party Playdate

Rocco was invited to Abby's 2nd birthday party.  Abby is a friend from daycare and most of the kids were also from daycare.

I just love this shirt for some reason

This is what Rocco did the majority of the time - poking sticks through holes in the playground floor. Toddlers.

Lake Eola

We all took a late afternoon walk down by Lake Eola to enjoy the nice (not raining, not too terribly hot, for once!) weather and to get popsicles from The Hyppo (you must try it if you live in Orlando or St. Augustine). Lake Eola has this cute red bridge so of course we had to stop and take a couple of quick photos. I don't recall what caught Rocco's eye at this exact moment, but he loves to point at just about everything these days. "Plane! Bird! Dog! Baby!"

Having A Blast!

Rocco and his cousin Matt enjoyed the new Antarctica section of Sea World. Coordinating shirts not planned. Rocco's whale shirt was planned (of course).

Rocco was AMAZED by the penguins in this new section. He was going nuts, squealing excitedly and jumping. Maybe his room should have been penguin themed instead of beluga whale themed.

Can you feel the love?

In Casey's defense, Rocco was chasing him around the room and this was his warning to stop. Casey has never actually hurt Rocco, just given him non-clawed swats, which generally result in Rocco squealing with laughter. Not exactly Casey's intended reaction I am sure.

Quack!

Upon seeing this mama and her baby duckies by our backyard pond, Rocco immediately went charging after them, yelling "Duck! Quack!". The ducks were not impressed with his verbal skills. They quickly took off to the safety of the water, where Rocco still tried to follow them, forcing me to drop the camera and grab him LOL!

He then sat down and waved, yelling "Bye! Duck! Bye!" Too cute.
