Ball Pit

One of Rocco's Christmas presents was this ball pit. He thinks it's hilarious if you shake it while he is sitting in it, making the balls jump all around him. He also enjoys diving into it head first, the little dare devil.

Ornaments

Rocco helped us take down our Christmas tree ornaments today (the non-glass ones anyways). He's been dying to do it ever since we put them on the tree in the first place. We even had to put a baby gate up around the tree this year to keep his grabby hands off the ornaments. :)

House Phone

Rocco stayed home today since he's still sick, but not too sick to play with his favorite outdated electronic "toy" - our house phone. Yes ladies and gentlemen, we still have a house line. Unheard of - I know!

Sick Day

Rocco was sent home early from daycare today because he vomited several times. The pediatrician believes it's some type of cold/cough-like virus. He's been sleeping since 4pm so he definitely must not be feeling well, poor baby.

Food Pouch

Food pouches are Rocco's second most favorite "food". He gets one almost every day when he comes home from school to help hold him over until it's dinner time. It's also a good way to sneak vegetables into his diet, otherwise he would only eat carbs (pasta, crackers, cheerios, etc). We call him our 'little carb-itarian'.

The Slide

Rocco's new favorite thing at the park is going down the slide. As soon as he gets to the bottom he tries (unsuccessfully) to crawl back up the slide so he can go down it again. Funny boy.

2013 New Year's Resolutions

Alright, let's get right down to it - here are my (somewhat) new and improved resolutions for 2013.
  1.  Take a photo every single day in 2013. Yes, that's right, a photo every.single.day. Why you may ask? Because Scott bought me a new camera for Christmas/my Birthday! Also, because I am insane.
  2. Lose weight. I won't be specific about my current weight, but I will say my goal is 15 pounds lost by May 1.
  3. Try to cook one "real" dinner a week. Ok, some of you may be saying "What?!". Let me let you in on a secret - I do not cook. Scott does the cooking in this household. This year I am going to make a concerted effort to learn how to cook real meals (i.e nothing frozen or pre-packaged involved). I may or may not share these cooking attempts on my blog. Depends on how well it goes ;)
  4. This is annoyingly vague, but I have a couple of specific bad habits that I do not want to point out for fear of other people noticing them, but I am going to try to stop this year. Like for real. And no, I am not going to tell you what they are even if I do manage to stop said bad habits.
  5. Last but not least - THIS will be the year I stop cursing so much! I hope.
Alright, that's it folks. Check back in 364 days to see how I did!
