Beach Day
After having been back and forth to the hospital for several days in a row visiting Scott's father and mother - Scott, Rocco, and I took a much needed break and headed out to the beach condo for a couple of hours.
First, we took a dip in the pool. Rocco loved hanging out in his whale floaty! (Warning: photo overload)

Rocking Out
Rocco is just jamming out to some old school tunes - like 'Baby Beluga'. ;)
Just kidding! I thought it would be funny to put Scott's noise cancelling headphones on him since they went well with the onesie he is wearing (which says 'Old School' at the bottom, but it's hard to read in this photo).

Lake Lily
After having lunch at Antonio's, we took an impromptu walk over to Lake Lily since the weather was so nice. I'm so glad we happened to have this blanket and my camera in the car.

Bottle Holder
I've been meaning to take a photo of this for a while now. Rocco's daycare taught him to hold his own bottle! We don't normally give bottles to Rocco at home, so when we happened to do so today, I had to make sure I got a photo of it.

9 Months Old!
In the past month Rocco:
- learned to hold his own bottle
- said 'da-da' for the first time (for the record, I won since he said 'ma-ma' first the month before!)
- learned to clap his hands
- still has no teeth and basically no hair
Here are his 9 month stats from his pediatrician appointment:
Weight - 18 pounds 14.5 ounces (24th percentile)
Height - 28.5 inches (60th percentile)

X-Rays
Today Rocco had his 9 month pediatrician appointment. His doctor was concerned that his legs are very flexible, which could potentially be a result of hip dysplasia, so he he ordered x-rays to make sure his hip joints are developing correctly.
At the hospital Rocco got the fun barcode sticker he's sporting in this photo and then he was off to radiology. He didn't cry or fuss during the procedure, like a good boy!
Update 7/20/12: We're happy to report that his results finally came back today and his hips joints are normal. He just apparently has a future career as a performer for Cirque du Soleil ;)
